The Walking Dead 1005 review: Revelations and resources
Alpha and the Whisperers
We learned in 1005 that Alpha is changing her strategy (just as Judith suggested) and she is indeed the one who sent the tree crashing down at Hilltop, though it’s unclear as to whether or not she sent the walkers. Beta seems to be impatient with this shift, but he’s willing to go along with it because he’s so loyal.
Gamma worked to dam up the creek as part of Alpha’s other strategy, which will help put a choke hold on the survivors now that the border has been extended. While she worked, she had flashbacks of her sister’s death, making us wonder if she’s as loyal as she wants Alpha to think. While she worked, she met Aaron, who gave her a bandage for her hand, and Alpha seems to think this could be a new strategy.
By the end of the episode, Negan had found his way to the Whisperers camp and he’s not showing any signs of following their quiet policy. Now we’ll have to wait and see how this all works out, and whether Negan is there to join forces with them, or destroy them from the inside.
