Norman Reedus project Death Stranding to release November 8

Norman Reedus has been working on the Death Stranding project for three years. But, the wait is almost over.

Death Stranding is a long awaited video game that stars Norman Reedus as the main character, Sam Bridges. Sam is on a journey after the collapse of civilization and his mission is to save mankind from extinction. Created by Hideo Kojima who is a legendary game creator which has made gamers anxiously awaiting the release for this mysterious game. Finally, the wait is over. On November 8th the game will be released for PlayStation 4.

Reedus has been in many Walking Dead games voicing his character Daryl Dixon but never to this extent. He had to wear a motion capture suit that had velcro all over it. This process was much different than voicing a character. During the making of this game he would have to envision what was supposed to be going on around him. Unlike his other projects where he is on the set and can what is going on around him to decided how to react this was much different because he had to imagine what was going on. Reedus shared with Hollywood Reporter:

"A lot of times it was just me and Hideo. He would have a plastic baby doll on the ground and want me to cradle it and act like it’s dead, then act like it’s alive. Then freak out because there’s hand prints everywhere. You stand up and he goes, “Imagine there’s a thousand dead whales in front of you,” and you’re like, “What?!” His mind is on another level. He’s a genius’ genius."

Reedus said he enjoyed doing this project and would do it again. He has said he isn’t a big gamer but this process was fascinating to him.

Daryl Dixon, the character that Reedus has played on the Walking Dead for 10 seasons, is a fan favorite and many fans are excited about his evolution in the series. It is wonderful to watch him go from the loner of season 1 to the person making friendships and taking more of a leadership role. The newest threat, The Whisperers, are a force to be reckoned with and I hope Daryl gets in on some more of the action with this group.
