4. Negan meets Beta!
As a massive comic fan, this is a moment I have hoped would happen for a very long time, and I am over the moon with excitement that the time has finally come! This makes my list for a smaller unique reason because I don’t believe it was a huge shock that Negan decided to make a grand introduction to the whisperers, he is Negan after all.
The reason this moment made my list was because of the face Beta had when he discovered Negan. We have seen Beta for the majority of the time on-screen be a very stern emotionless character. We saw him upset and totally lose it when Alpha first meets him and puts down his friend, and we see him taken back with Alpha at her Lydia shrine. Otherwise, he is just this tall looming figure watching over the Whisperers in a judging way and making sure everything falls together in a way he approves.
I do not believe we have ever seen the look he gave Negan. He was appalled, absolutely disgusted and surprised at this loud-mouthed, bat-wielding man. His face almost read of thought, whoa! did I just meet a psychopath?! Which is rather funny looking at it from our perspective.
We finally see these two opposite characters meet and it is a rather glorious moment! I have my fingers crossed for some good WTF moments in episode 1006 from them. For now, let’s head back to Hilltop for moment 3!
