Greg Nicotero to receive award at NYC Horror Film Festival

The Walking Dead fans know how talented Greg Nicotero is and now he will be getting the recognition he deserves when he receives a Lifetime Achievement award at the NYC Horror Film Festival.
Greg Nicotero who is known for his amazing special effects and directing work in The Walking Dead is to receive a Lifetime Achievement award at the NYC Horror Film Festival. His resume covers so much more than just The Walking Dead. Nicotero has even worked with George A. Romero and done many other impressive things in his career.
Nicotero started out working on Romero’s Day of the Dead in 1985. He continued to work seamlessly between SFX and producing during his career. He has worked on many fan-favorite horror films like From Dusk til Dawn, Army of Darkness, Annabelle, along with so many more. Fans will also know he has recently revamped Creepshow as the showrunner and creator. Seeing that the original Creepshow was an important stepping stone for Nicotero things have come full circle as he introduced this new series. It consists of six episodes that are shown on Shudder, which is AMC’s horror and thriller streaming service.

The NYC Horror Film Festival has been held for 17 yrs and will showcase 50-60 films for which they will give out awards in categories like Best Short Film, Best Sound Design, Best Unproduced Short and many more. The NYC Horror Film Festival will be held Dec. 5-8 at the Cinepolis Chelsea in New York City. Nicotero will receive his award on Saturday the 7th.
