11) While discussing the plumbing situation (Presumably in either the new or damaged houses) with Yumiko, Alden expresses his concern about Hilltop’s supply of copper. Have they not thought about collecting and melting down coins?

12) Ezekiel’s revelation that he has thyroid cancer makes him one of only four characters we’ve met in The Walking Dead to have cancer alongside Mr. Coleman (The old man who volunteered for Milton’s experiments back in Season Three), David Chambler (Tara’s dad), and Molly (The old lady who was one of Paula’s subordinates in Season Six’s “The Same Boat”).

13) Amelia calls the dead “hissers”. This is the first unique name for walkers this season and, approximately, the 25th overall.

14) This episode gets its name from Amelia explaining to Brandon and Negan how she and Milo wound up in an abandoned bus: “After [Their group got scattered] we went back to what it was before, What It Always Is in the end — Milo and me, moving from place to place, surviving.”

15) While explaining her “shifting strategy” to Beta, Alpha mentions “the tree”, suggesting (If not outright confirming) that Earl’s suspicions of the Whisperers’ involvement in the tree falling on Hilltop were correct.
