Carol explains to Daryl that she thinks Alpha has been sending the walkers in waves to wear them down, and even though the groups have been coming from different directions they’re originating from one point, and that’s where they are today. She thinks that if they stay there it might lead them to the horde. Daryl says that Alpha would need a big place to keep them, and that would probably be inside the border. She promises that they’ll be in and out and then can report back to the council.

Daryl wants to know why Carol wasn’t honest with him before, and she says she didn’t want him to worry about her. She asks if he’s going to stay with her while she’s scouting and he says she might need him to help track the walkers, but she smiles and says she has picked up a few things over the years.

The Whisperers are making their way through the forest and Negan is with them. He won’t stop talking and it’s making Beta mad. Negan is clearly needling the second in command and it finally reaches a boiling point. Beta turns on him and tells him that he’s making too much noise. Negan introduces himself as being a prisoner of their enemy for the past 8 years and he wants to meet Alpha and give her all of their secrets. Beta relents, but not before making the blindfold into a gag.

Nabila helps Eugene with some supplies. He’s grateful for her help with relaunching the radio, and she’s happy to be part of the “HIlltop A/V Club.” He has reconstructed the radio with the Russian satellite parts and now it’s very powerful. She has to go take care of the kids but she hopes he has fun.

All alone, Eugene sets out to talk to anyone out there.

Suddenly Alexandria calls through. It’s Rosita calling for Eugene. She’s emotional and sick and she wanted to call him and see how he is. She assures him that Coco is fine, and she wants to know what he’s up to. She smiles as he rattles off what he has been doing on the radio. She asks if he is coming back any time soon because it’s good to hear his voice, and he admits he has no plans. They’re interrupted by a malfunction in the system at the worst possible moment. She offers to call him back later, and he’s eager to talk again.
