The Walking Dead season 10 episode 6 recap: Bonds

The Whisperers move along and Negan tells Beta that they’re not jiving. Negan knows what leadership is like and wishes he had a guy like Beta on his side. Beta tells him that he will never be a Whisperer because he’s too loud and weak, and his ego is too big. Alpha will see all of his shortcomings. Negan admits he’s there for Alpha so nothing Beta does to him will upset him. Negan isn’t going anywhere. Beta agrees, because he won’t be going anywhere. He kills the Whisperer beside him (the same one who gave Negan food) and walks away, leaving Negan to fight them off with a knife that breaks almost instantly.

Daryl finds Carol with a Whisperer hostage, and while she admits that she didn’t plan it he doesn’t believe her because she has him tied up with zip ties. She leads her hostage away, and Daryl isn’t happy.

Eugene has been talking all night. He has really been enjoying it. He wonders if they can talk openly and she says she doesn’t know him and he could be a threat. He offers to share specifics, and she says that it’s not safe for either one of them. He’s getting emotional, having finally found a connection after so long. He thinks she is a good person, and so he gives her his name and hopes they can have regular conversations. His message is met with silence…until she comes back and says she would like that a lot. She wants to keep this between them for now. She wants to trust him, but if someone else answers then she won’t be able to trust him. He agrees.

Back at the Whisperer camp, Beta finds Alpha and tells him that he was weak. She expected more from him, but suddenly Negan comes walking up and tells them to get a long tape measure for his skin suit because of his enormous package. He’s covered in blood and he has a very bloody branch with him. He walks right up to Alpha and says his name is Negan. He tells her that he knows who she is, so he puts the branch down as all of the Whisperers watch. He falls to his knees, saying he is all hers. Alpha leans close and puts a finger to her lips. “Shhh.”
