The Walking Dead, Bonds: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
16) Radio Lady is from Strasburg, Pennsylvania. Behind Luke, she’s at least the second Pennsylvanian we’ve met on the show, though it’s possible she may be the fourth, assuming Dave and Tony were actually from Philadelphia, and not simply passing through.
17) Daryl gutting the walker that attacked him (While spying on the Whisperers) and using its blood to camouflage himself is the first time we’ve seen the tactic used by someone other than a Whisperer since Negan and Father Gabriel did it to get back inside the Sanctuary in Season Eight’s, “The Big Scary U”.
18) The generous Whisperer (Who gives Negan some food), is the third Whisperer we’ve seen die this season (Though, not the third overall, as Beta mentioned having lost three when Frances attacked Alpha, probably not including Frances herself), and the second Whisperer killed by Beta, following the “little nicks” Whisperer in the previous episode, “What It Always Is”.
19) Eugene’s middle name, as he reveals to Radio Lady, is “Hermann”.
20) Did Siddiq sleepwalk to the windmill, or…was that a dream? Honestly, I’m not sure.
21) This episode likely gets its name from the various “bonds” seen throughout the episode: Siddiq’s bonds with his patients in Alexandria, Rosita, and Dante, Eugene’s new friendship with Radio Lady, the bond between Alpha and Beta, Negan’s new relationship with the Whisperers, or even the literal bonds Carol uses to restrain the captured Whisperer.
And, with that, we’ve concluded our Things To Note for this week. Was there anything you missed? Was there anything I missed? Feel free to throw in your things to note in the comments!
