The penultimate episode of the first half of The Walking Dead season 10 is upon is, and it sets up a huge story for the mid-season finale. Here’s your recap of “Open Your Eyes”.

This week’s episode of The Walking Dead begins with a flashback. Alpha and the Whisperers are in the barn and they’re about to execute the ten victims. Siddiq wakes up and checks on the woman that Dante had been tending to the week prior. She’s even worse; her fever is causing her to tremble in her sleep. Siddiq helps her drink some water and then he goes to check on Rosita. From there he goes to get more water (and we see Eugene’s sign at the spigot telling people not to mess with their system) and he drifts off while filling his jug so that the water overflows.

Later he helps more sick patients, offering them water. He looks around the infirmary to see that the sick are getting worse. When he looks up, he sees Alpha in the window. He can’t shake it. He sees flashbacks everywhere.

That night, Siddiq pours over medical books trying to find ways to tend to the sick when he has another flashback of someone grabbing his mouth in the barn to keep him from screaming. It turns into a waking dream where he wakes up grabbing his own mouth.

Cue the credits, here we go!
