Aaron finds Gamma at the border that night. She offers him the drawing back and she refuses it, saying she doesn’t want anything. Her tone has shifted and he picks up on it. When he goes to grab it, she grabs him and puts a knife to his throat. He says this isn’t her, but she says she has no idea.

Carol steps out of the bushes and tells her to let him go, but when Lydia steps out Gamma becomes emotional and runs off. Lydia watches in confusion, and Carol explains that Alpha told her people that Lydia was dead, and Lydia realizes that Carol was using her. She says Carol is just like her mom, and she backs away toward the border. Carol says it isn’t safe out there, and Aaron tells Lydia to wait, but she hits Carol in the arm with her stick and runs off into the night. Aaron tells Carol she can’t go after her because the Whisperers could be watching.

Lydia walks through the forest.

Carol rides away, alone.

Gamma sits and cries.

Back in Alexandria, Siddiq is in his room when Dante arrives to check on him. Siddiq tells him to leave him alone, but Dante just wants to chat. Dante says he’ll go, but he wants to apologize. He says he has been trying to help since Eugene left, helping with the water. Siddiq says it’s all his fault. Dante won’t accept that, saying that Alexandria is special because it’s a village with everyone helping. Everyone works together.

Dante says that when something happens, it’s on all of them. Siddiq says that Dante doesn’t even know him. He calls Siddiq his friend. He tells Siddiq that it’s all going to be ok.

When Dante clicks his tongue, Siddiq has a flashback to the barn. Someone was holding him down, keeping his eyes open to watch the horror unfolding.

Siddiq turns around and sees Dante standing there smiling. His expression shifts as Dante realizes that Siddiq remembers what happened. They fight, with Dante catching Siddiq in a headlock. As Siddiq struggles, Dante says that he didn’t want this and didn’t want it to be Siddiq. Not Siddiq. He tells Siddiq to close his eyes, and he cradles his body as it glides limply to the floor.
