In season 10 episode 7 of The Walking Dead, a few characters took a stand for what they deemed right. However, one of them shined brighter than the rest and will be crowned MVP.

The Walking Dead season 10 has covered some really heavy subject matter, but in episode 7 all of this comes to a boiling point. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Siddiq, a beloved father, friend, and doctor. In a shocking moment, he was killed by Dante who turned out to be a whisperer.

Before the ending that took almost everyone by surprise, Siddiq had to deal with a lot of his past and we got to see him fight these demons on screen. We saw that he was reliving seeing the deaths of his friends constantly and it was heartbreaking seeing him struggle while continuing to try and help others.

With such a heartbreaking death it was only right to crown MVP to someone who wasn’t thinking of their agenda or going about things in a confrontational way even if they were looking out for the best interest of the community.

This week’s MVP is Rosita!

I have to admit I was a total wreck when Siddiq started telling her everything he was dealing with because it was such a real conversation. What Rosita did for Siddiq was beautiful even though in the end his time was cut short. She spoke with him when he came to check on her and tried to get his mind off of things.

Then she saved him. I can’t confidently say that Siddiq would have saved himself at that moment. She brought him to the surface and then made him talk. Everyone needs a friend like Rosita. I speak of this quite often, if anyone you care about is going down a wrong path, it is okay to check their behavior.

Checking someone doesn’t have to be disrespectful and it doesn’t have to be because they are acting outwardly reckless. In this case, we Rosita be very real and tell her friend, the father of her baby, look you talk or we are both drowning. She said with her actions that you’re not alone, you are worth it, I love you, let’s get past this together.

Siddiq was obviously another choice I was considering for MVP because he gathered the courage to tell Rosita his feelings and honestly I could make a case for him as well. He was an example that talking to someone is okay, and not being okay is also okay. If you are struggling yourself, reach out to those around you, because like Siddiq, you are worth it and people care about you.

Rosita is just a single decimal point above him in the running but they both deserve crowns, If you see someone struggling, anyone, reach out and talk to them. You never know what kind of difference you will make in their day. If someone close to you is struggling, be Rosita. You never know what others are going through and you could be a reason they continue on in life.
