5 WTF moments from The Walking Dead episode 1007

R.I.P. Siddiq
Dante being revealed as a villain was definitely shocking but after the death of Siddiq, I remained in denial for two whole days. I have the AMC premiere app, so I watched this episode on Friday and just stewed for two days. Then I watched Talking Dead where he was confirmed to be dead and watched a sneak peek where he is shown reanimating.
I also saw one where Siddiqs funeral is taking place. I’m here writing this article and I am still in denial. He is very much dead but I can’t bring myself to process that. During this season so far we have seen so much focus on his PTSD and in my heart, I so desperately wanted to see him heal and go on to do more amazing things.
Not only am I just shocked overall at the fact he is no longer with us, but how. I thought with Dante’s background, if that part is even true, that they would end up being great friends because of the stuff they have in common. I thought Siddiqs gentle nature and Dante’s harshness were a comical pairing.
Dante seemed to have a connection with Siddiq since during the process of killing Siddiq he said he didn’t want it to happen this way to him. Every second of the end scene just had me floored. I have more questions than answers and by far the most asked on my end is, why?
Why was his time cut short? He endured so much that he deserved a chance to go push through. Why didn’t he try fighting back more or try pretending he had no idea? Why does baby coco have to grow up without her wonderful biological father helping her in life? Why do we always lose doctors? Most of all, why did we have to lose a person who was such a light in the darkness.
WTF The Walking Dead, this hurts. I’m sad.
