16) Considering how often the phrase “Open your eyes” is used in this episode, it’s ironic that the episode should end with the phrase “Close your eyes”.

17) Once again, just as with the previous three episodes, there is no bump card, despite there being one in the first three episodes of the season. Sadness ensues.

18) Siddiq is the sixth named character to die this season, and the first major one.

19) While this episode obviously gets its name from Siddiq constantly hearing the phrase “Open your eyes” in his flashbacks throughout the episode, it may also be a reference to the clues about Dante’s true identity peppered across the episode, and, essentially telling Siddiq to “Open [his] eyes” and see the clues right in front of him.
