The world of The Walking Dead: World Beyond is getting even bigger with the announcement of several new cast members and a new trailer.

Now that TWD3 officially has an official title and a new trailer, AMC has also announced five new cast members for the new spinoff series The Walking Dead: World Beyond. The latest cast additions arrive as the trailer reveals more clues about how the mysterious helicopters factor into the new show, and one new cast member looks to play a very large role in it all.

Julia Ormond joins the cast as Elizabeth. According to a press release from AMC, Ormond’s character is “the charismatic leader of a large, sophisticated and formidable force” and based on the trailer, that force would seem to be the same group that has been seen in both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead with the helicopters. Indeed, the three circles can be seen on Elizabeth’s jacket.

Also joining the cast are Natalie Gold as Lyla, Al Calderon as Barca, Scott Adsit as Tony and Ted Sutherland as Percy.

The only information AMC provided about the new additions is about Gold’s character Lyla, who is described as “a mysterious figure operating in the shadows on behalf of the cause she believes in.”

There are many mysteries surrounding World Beyond, chief of which is the reason that the young adults decide to venture out into the wild, beyond the safety of their fortified community, to experience the apocalypse for themselves. They are the next generation and they have a lot to share with the world, but they will have to survive first.
