5 characters that stood out the most in The Walking Dead season 10A
Siddiq
Siddiq’s story kept me riveted to the screen, not because of the love quadrangle involving Rosita but because of the beautiful work by Avi Nash. Each episode with Siddiq displayed first hand the survivor’s guilt of Siddiq as well as the exceptional portrayal of PTSD which was masterfully handled by the writers and Avi. His performance has stayed with me long after the credits roll.
I felt his fear, doubts, confusion, and terror. His line “I’m still there” in reference to the barn where Alpha murdered his friends is something I have heard Military veterans say and adds to the power and horror of each scene.
His scene with Rosita before his death was hands down one of the best scenes of the season so far in my opinion. Their conversation about parenthood was not only heartwarming but reminded viewers of how much he has changed since being recruited by Carl Grimes. His honesty about his mental struggles rips at my heart.
I am sad that we will never get to see Siddiq work through his PTSD but look forward to seeing Avi in other roles in the future.
