Which Disney princesses would survive on The Walking Dead?

SELFIE! – In “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” Vanellope von Schweetz hits the internet where she encounters and then befriends the Disney princesses. Filmmakers invited the original voice talent to return to the studio to help bring their characters to life, including Sarah Silverman (Vanellope in “Ralph Breaks the Internet”), Auli‘i Cravalho (“Moana”), Kristen Bell (Anna in “Frozen”), Idina Menzel (Elsa in “Frozen”), Kelly MacDonald (Merida in “Brave”), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel in “Tangled”), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana in “The Princess and the Frog”), Ming-Na Wen (“Mulan”), Irene Bedard (“Pocahontas”), Linda Larkin (Jasmine in “Aladdin”), Paige O’Hara (Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”), and Jodi Benson (Ariel in “The Little Mermaid”). ©2018 Disney. 2. Moana

Moana happens to be the princess I was talking about at the beginning that launched this idea forward! As a mother, I have turned this movie on for my toddler 800 times. No exaggeration. My office at home is filled with The Walking Dead merchandise, including a 7 foot banner with walkers on it. My daughter often pretends to sail about the house while taking swings at my walker banner.

One thing I adore about this story is that there is no love interest! There are no boys to distract Moana from her mission, even if there was she likely would pay them no attention. Don’t forget, for much of the movie she is paired with a demigod yet she often is the one instilling inspiration in him, not the other way around. I would love to see her inspiring characters on The Walking Dead this way.

She is a girl who adores and loves where she comes from but she wants to be more. Her judgment is something beautiful. She is willing to fight a monster of huge proportions to save her people. She would do anything for them. She is confident, she has her moments where she wants to give up but it makes her more relatable and she pushes through.

To ask if she can fight is an insult, this girl is a warrior through and through! The reason why she doesn’t snag the number one spot is that if you take away the magic, while you might not change her heart, you change a massive part of her story. This could just make her an even stronger leader since there is no call to the ocean, or it could make her come off as childish for not wanting to be chief.

Another reason I thought of this list was that while watching Moana and thinking how amazing it would be to have her as a companion I realized she is built for The Walking Dead as a resident of Oceanside! She is the queen of the ocean and her island. What better place than what she is a total expert in? Her passion for problem-solving would easily land her in a leadership spot!
