1. Mulan

Nobody else could top this list, Mulan is someone who can rock all my questions with no hesitation. The only things that make me sad in this movie are not even her fault. Her culture says women have to be one way, and she isn’t. The only way she earns respect and love, in the end, is by sneaking off and pretending to be a man. We all understand why she does this, but it’s sad she can’t just be her quirky self and be accepted.

Her judgment, her heart, is beautiful. Her father is too old to fight, so she sacrifices her own life to save him even though he says she is a disgrace. She loves him so much she would die for him. She is a warrior who saved her country, so there is no question as to if she can fight. She has such smarts on the battlefield and honestly, we could use her on The Walking Dead right now! If she was in the cave with the walker herd I would feel better!

If the movie Mulan was stripped of all magic, it would make Mulan’s story much easier on her! No lucky cricket and no dragon, who is always getting her into trouble from the start. Mulan doesn’t need magic to be inspired to save her father or her country. She doesn’t need it to be brave and she didn’t need it on the battlefield.

With Michonne leaving The Walking Dead in season 10, I would put Mulan on the council at Alexandria! Trade a queen for a queen. I could see a seasoned survivor Mulan being quite similar to Michonne. Mulan is also a person that would be fair and hear everyone out on issues and lay down the law if things got out of hand. The apocalypse would only changer her and make her stronger!
