VOTE NOW – Norman Reedus up for “Best Performance” at 2019 Game Awards

The 2019 Game Awards take place on Thursday, December 12, and The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus is up for one of the night’s biggest awards.
Reedus – better known as Daryl Dixon to The Walking Dead fans – is nominated in the “Best Performance” category for his role as Sam Bridges in the PlayStation-exclusive video game Death Stranding.
The prize for Best Performance is “awarded to an individual for voice-over acting, motion and/or performance capture,” so The Walking Dead fans won’t be surprised to see Reedus up for an honor focused on impressive acting skills.
This project gave Reedus a chance to work with his good friend and legendary video game developer Hideo Kojima, and the duo has apparently combined to make something special. The game is up for numerous awards at the show, including the ultimate prize of Game of the Year. Here’s the synopsis of Death Stranding according to PlayStation’s website:
"After the collapse of civilization, Sam Bridges must journey across a ravaged landscape crawling with otherworldly threats to save mankind from the brink of extinction. From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defying experience for the PlayStation®4 system."
With so much of his year taken up filming The Walking Dead down in Georgia, it is nice to see Reedus flex his acting muscles a bit with a different kind of project. Posts across his Instagram account make it clear that he’s very passionate about the game as well.
If there’s one thing The Walking Dead fans are, it’s vocal, so we should support Norman by voting for him in the “Best Performance” category. Let’s show Norman that TWDFamily has his back!
