The 2020 Golden Globe nominations arrive on December 9 and The Walking Dead deserves to be in the running in several television categories.

The Walking Dead has never been as fortunate as HBO’s Game of Thrones when it comes to being nominated and winning awards. Though both shows deal with elements of fantasy and horror, The Walking Dead has been largely ignored by award shows. However, there are lots of reasons that The Walking Dead deserves to be in the running for a Golden Globe in 2020.

The nominations for the 2020 Golden Globes will be announced on December 9, and The Walking Dead would be eligible to receive nominations for work done in seasons 9B and 10A. Thinking back to the incredible transformation the show experienced in season 9 and 10, there are lots of award-worthy moments that deserve recognition.

It’s important to note that the Golden Globes only offer a limited number of television categories that would apply to The Walking Dead. There is Best TV Series – Drama, best actor and best actress categories and then supporting actor and actress categories.

Let’s break down the three reasons The Walking Dead deserves to be nominated at the 2020 Golden Globes.
