Fans love Ride With Norman Reedus and apparently so does AMC. The network gave the show an early renewal for season 5.

Season 4 of Ride With Norman Reedus doesn’t arrive until March of 2020 but that didn’t stop AMC from giving the fan favorite show an early renewal for season 5. Deadline reported that the show was given the early pickup and will start production on six episodes for season 5 in early 2020.

Ride With Norman Reedus is a reality show that follows Norman Reedus and a guest as they tour a location on motorcycles experiencing different areas and cultures and talking to lots of people along the way. The show was a bit of a risk for the network but it paid off. The show was a hit from the start due largely to Reedus’ status as a fan favorite among TWD fans.

The Walking Dead fans and fans of Norman Reedus embraced the show from the start. While it’s not technically part of The Walking Dead universe it’s very much a part of The Walking Dead family. Often other cast members from the show join Norman on his adventures like Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Melissa McBride. Other TWD cast who have appeared on Ride include Andrew Lincoln, Greg Nicotero, and Austin Amelio.

Season 4 of Ride With Norman Reedus is set to air in March of 2020, presumably occupying a time slot near The Walking Dead or one of the spinoffs. AMC’s Sunday schedule will definitely belong to the Dead when it has to accommodate The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead, Ride With Norman Reedus, and the latest spinoff TWD: World Beyond which should be airing for the first time in the spring of 2020.

A Dixon Reunion

One of the most anticipated episodes of Ride With Norman Reedus coming in up in season 4 will reunite Reedus and Michael Rooker, who played the famously redneck older brother of Daryl Dixon Merle on The Walking Dead. The two will ride throughout Alabama and Georgia diving deep into local cultures ad cuisines in the Deep South. Maybe they will make a pit stop in Senoia and revisit some of the early filming locations and give Rooker the chance to relive some of his best days on The Walking Dead.
