The Walking Dead: A zombie survival Christmas list

A Bow/Crossbow
The bow and arrow have been around for thousands of years, the mastery of these weapons has been a respected skill across civilization for nearly as long. While its successor, the gun, has come to take its place in warfare, come the zombie apocalypse, the bow will come roaring back into prominence in a big way.
Why? Well, guns, while certainly useful in the apocalypse, are noisy, and, when there’s no longer the usual noise of civilization to drown it out, suddenly, gunfire becomes even louder than it normally would be.
So, if you want to fight zombies from far away — Always a better idea if you can get away with it — and don’t want to alert everyone (And everything) within a ten mile radius, you’re better off using some kind of bow to do it with.
But, if the people on your Christmas list aren’t that worried about zombies, getting bow is still a good gift! Archery is fun. Straight up. Whenever I got a chance to do it in gym class as a kid, I knew it was going to be fun, even if I sucked at it.
On top of that, it helps you strengthen your arms, gain accuracy, and can be a great way to hunt food without tearing it to shreds with shotgun shells!
So, if you’re looking for something that’s quiet, is fun, useful, and provides a great skill, follow Daryl and Yumiko’s lead and get a bow!
