Skydance Interactive is ready to give fans a virtual reality experience when The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners comes to PC from Skybound Games.

Details about The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners have been trickling out for quite a while now and fans should have every reason to get excited about having a virtual reality experience in the zombie apocalypse.

With the game set to be released on Jan. 23, 2020 for Valve Index, HTC Vive, HTC Cosmos, Oculus Rift and Rift S, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets, interested gamers can pre-order the game on the Steam and Oculus Stores. Meanwhile, fans looking to play on the PlayStation VR will have to wait, as it is in the works but no official release date has been announced.

Skybound Games describes the game on its website in an interesting way, making it sound as though fans will have to make tough decisions that will make an impact on not only your character but the world around them.

"“Are you a saint or a sinner? You’re not alone in this new, broken world. On your journey, you’ll encounter desperate survivors and factions trying to make it day by day while being ravaged by violence, disease, famine, and the Walkers. Whether you work together and fend for yourself, your choices will have meaning and consequences for both you and the world around you.”"

First, take a look at the gameplay trailer from The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners from IGN’s YouTube channel:

This game looks amazing. Not only does it seem to give you the choice to approach situations with stealth or firepower but it appears as though you can customize your loadout of weapons and perform different awesome walker kills with them.

A particularly intense moment at the end of this trailer puts you in the situation where you are either to let someone live or execute them on the spot. Much like the Telltale Games based on Robert Kirkman’s zombie franchise in the past, those kinds of decisions can be very tough to make in a short period of time.

If you’re still not convinced this game is worth a try, here are the first five minutes of gameplay from the game as shared on the official YouTube channel of IGN (NOTE: Do not watch this video if you want to go into the game and not know anything about the early story/game events):

Although this gameplay video is only five minutes, it’s enough to give fans an idea of the atmosphere of the game. The haunting sounds accompanying a quiet night along with the darkness surrounding you as you light your way to your next destination is pretty intense.

Actually making stabbing motions and pulling the trigger of your gun to take down walkers will separate this game from other games in the history of the franchise, It should provide some great jump scares to go with tough situations where you will need to fight for your virtual reality life.

If you have the means to check out this game, it is something unique fans of The Walking Dead should make it a point to try. Even if it somehow ends up a disappointment, it is still going to be a unique experience in the zombie apocalypse/
