The Wolves: Colman Domingo has a new venture in Los Angeles
Fear the Walking Dead star Colman Domingo is part-owner of The Wolves in Downtown Los Angeles, and it’s a must on your list of places to visit.
Colman Domingo is a man of many talents and interests. The Fear the Walking Dead star is showing off one of his latest ventures as a part-owner of The Wolves, an elegant bar and restaurant located on Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles.
There’s nothing quite like stepping through a doorway and being transported into the past. As we kick off the roaring 2020s, a visit to The Wolves will surround you with the elegance of the 1910s: Dark wood, stained glass and wrought iron abound, along with stunning art and an intimate atmosphere that draws you in as soon as you arrive. It’s the kind of place that captures the imagination and becomes a faithful muse to anyone looking for inspiration.
In other words, it is exactly the kind of place that Colman Domingo would enjoy. In fact, it was a stop on his recent 50th birthday world tour, complete with appearances by Alycia Debnam-Carey and Kim Dickens:

The Wolves is located inside the Alexandria Hotel Building and features the only available indoor and outdoor balcony dining overlooking Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles. It has been brought to life in painstaking detail to capture the ambience of the 1910s, complete with authentic pieces from the era that combine to create a drinking and dining experience like none other.
From The Wolves’ website:
"The vibe of the bar is an elegant yet approachable gathering place. The goal is to create an environment that will breed the next generation of creatives. A live performance stage located in the back bar. Will be a gathering place to experience vaudevillian theater, performance art, to live music. Comfortable for locals yet a destination for tourist in the downtown area."
It’s easy to see why Colman Domingo would love a place like The Wolves, and it makes a strong case for art imitating life: It’s very easy to imagine a guy like Victor Strand enjoying a drink at The Wolves, either at the bar or in a secluded corner where he’s engaged in some wheeling and dealing.
Domingo will return as the charismatic Victor Strand in season 6 of Fear the Walking Dead, which returns later this year on AMC. The Wolves is located at 519 S. Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90013.
