Fear The Walking Dead teases a reunion between Dwight and Sherry on social media

Fear The Walking Dead announced via social media that Christine Evangelista will be joining the cast for season 6. Will this be a reunion of epic proportions or all a dream?

Upon opening Twitter many fans including myself were shocked to see a photo Dwight and Sherry holding hands on their feed via Fear The Walking Dead’s official account! On Twitter the post was rather vague as you can see below, making viewers question if this is real life or if this is just a dream from Dwight.

While it being a dream isn’t totally ruled out at this point since the show has not aired to confirm, most fans were automatically convinced this was a real reunion. The Facebook post as you can see below paints a much less vague picture basically confirming it will be a real reunion while using the same picture.

At this point it being all a dream seems to be the more unlikely of the two options. After all, in the photo her style and appearance look to be much more of the style Fear The Walking Dead characters have. During her time on The Walking Dead, we never saw Sherry in anything remotely similar. If Dwight was having a flashback or dream normally those show a character in exactly what they were last wearing, or in a more angelic state. (Think crazy Rick Grimes seeing Lori in a white dress at the prison)

If anything, in this photo Sherry, appears to look much more like her comic-book counterpart. Which would be a bad sign as comic Sherry is not the best person, so is this a small hint that Sherry might be on Virginia’s side? This is also something I find to be more on the unlikely side as well.

Sherry was always a very independent thinker and she was ahead of the game when it came to Negan. She didn’t want to be stuck there, she helped Daryl escape and then she did herself. So it’s hard to imagine that she would fall under the strict rule of another group even if she was incredibly desperate.

Seeing Sherry also brings up another question, will she save Morgan Jones? The last moments we see of season 5 show a very bleak outlook on Morgan’s future as he is bleeding out and close to death. It would be amazing to have Sherry ride in and save the day and then have an epic reunion with Dwight we all want to see. This would also be such a nice moment for Morgan, to look up and see the person saving him is a person that they have been looking for. Further confirmation that his life path is paying off!
