While their time was cut short at the end of The Walking Dead season 9, how would each of the pike victims fare in season 10’s Whisperer War had they been the only one to escape Alpha’s wrath?

Without a doubt, the pike massacre was one of the most brutal scenes in the history of The Walking Dead. In an instant, the joyful feelings from the fair at the Kingdom were gone, replaced by a sense of dread as it was revealed that ten of our beloved survivors were beheaded at the hands of Alpha and the Whisperers.

Some of the deaths seemed random and others very intentional from Alpha’s perspective, but the one thing each victim has in common is that they had more stories to tell.

As is the case with a show as deadly as The Walking Dead, characters sometimes get taken from us too soon and leave us wondering how they would’ve handled future situations had they survived.

The pike massacre is no different, as every time I watch an episode of season 10 I think about how the characters we lost would’ve reacted to what is happening. Would Henry prevent people from mistreating Lydia to the point of her leaving Alexandria? With Siddiq’s passing, would Enid be ready to become the communities’ main doctor?

Questions like these are interesting to think about, so let’s take a look at the role each of the pike victims would play in season 10 had they been the only survivor.
