Jimmy Garoppolo

While he may be the signal-caller for the 49ers, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is not necessarily the kind of guy who demands to be in charge. That doesn’t mean he isn’t committed to the cause at all, though. Rather, Jimmy G is willing to play whatever role is necessary to help his team win, or, in the case of a zombie apocalypse, whatever his group needs him to do to survive.

Take the NFC Championship game for example. In such an important game with the season on the line, Garoppolo only threw eight total passes. Eight! But rather than complain and force the offense to focus more on passing so he could improve his stats, Garoppolo was unselfish, allowing the 49ers to focus on the running game that led them to victory.

In that sense, Garoppolo reminds me a lot of Aaron. When Alexandria needed someone to be a recruiter, Aaron was the man. When the communities were looking for a leader of the militia to fight the Whisperers, once again Aaron stepped up.

Garoppolo seems to be a charismatic guy like Aaron as well, so he would be a perfect fit for the recruiter side of things. His good looks and quick wit would help ease tensions with groups that prove more hostile to the recruitment process, like Rick and company in season 5.
