Season 2 episode 10 of The Walking Dead titled “18 Miles Out” put the survivors in a tough position where the balance of life and death were in their hands.
The Walking Dead put survivors in unique situations leading up to episode 210 titled “18 Miles Out” and some tough decisions needed to be made in order to decide not only the fate of a wounded stranger but what kind of people they would become based on their actions.
Life on the Greene family farm has been challenging. There have been many emotional moments as well as shocking developments involving the two groups in their attempts to co-exist while dealing with some major blows and conflicts on and off the farm.
With so much happening, who didn’t make it out of the Feb. 26, 2012 episode of The Walking Dead titled “18 Miles Out” alive? Let’s take a look at the body count for season 2 episode 10:
- No human deaths!
- Some walkers.
There were some situations in this episode that could have gone either way. Randall was wounded while trying to escape the bar and mercy was shown on him. He was not left to die by walkers, but now Rick and Shane had to decide what to do with him.
Meanwhile, Beth Greene was struggling with everything happening around her and decided to make an attempt on her own life since she couldn’t find a reason to keep fighting. A conversation with Lori didn’t help to clear her mind and a scolding from Maggie made her feel worse. A blunt statement from Andrea put her situation even direr.
Beth locked the bathroom door, smashed the mirror, and cut her wrist. Lori crashed through the door before too much damage was done and realizes the cut was shallow, with Andrea believing Beth really wants to live because she didn’t cut deep.
Both Randall and Beth had close calls in this episode, but both survived to live for at least another episode. Still, the drama was high in this installment of The Walking Dead and the situations are far from being resolved.
