With a handful of beloved characters trapped in Alpha’s cave and the Whisperers horde on the horizon, trouble is looming in The Walking Dead 10B synopsis.

The Walking Dead survivors have been through a lot over the course of ten seasons, but they haven’t seen anything quite like Alpha and the Whisperers. Michonne left on a mission to secure more weapons, unaware that a group of her friends is trapped in Alpha’s cave. According to the 10B synopsis, things are about to get worse before they get any better.

After ten seasons it’s hard to imagine that anything could be worse than what the survivors have already been through. However, Alpha has shown that she is stone cold and willing to do anything to achieve her goals. Lydia might be her Achilles heel, but we don’t know where Lydia is after she ran off at the bridge. Gamma is reeling from news that Alpha has been lying about her daughter being alive. And Negan, well, Negan is enrolled in How to Become a Whisperer 101 and no one knows what he’s after.

In short, the stage is set for something big to happen in the second half of the season. Here’s the official season 10B synopsis:

"The Walking Dead returns to find our group of survivors are trapped. Some in the confines of a cave filled with walkers, while others are caught in a spiral of suspicion and grief. All orchestrated at the hand of Alpha, who continues to prove the Whisperers are always watching, and one step ahead of the communities. Which includes the new and potentially deadly threat of having added Negan to their ranks.Through this conflict and all they’ve lost, a few still hold onto hope, especially Eugene, who believes the mysterious voice he spoke with on the radio may lead to their world getting bigger once again. But with the Whisperer War upon them, the collective communities must come together and possibly sacrifice all they have to find a way to silence the Whispers once and for all. Otherwise Alpha will ensure they face a certain doom."

“Suspicion” seems to be the key word here. There is an air of suspicion floating over the area. Beta isn’t sure what to make of Negan’s intentions. Gamma doesn’t know what to think about Alpha anymore. Lydia doesn’t trust Carol and (possibly) Daryl. Michonne doesn’t have much reason to trust Virgil, but if he does indeed have a massive cache of weapons then she needs to find out.

One thing has been true this entire time: The survivors are at their best when they work together, putting aside their differences to work toward their goal of staying alive and protecting their way of life.
