The Walking Dead season 10B theory: Can Magna be trusted?

The Walking Dead season 10A had a shocking moment with Magna and fellow survivor Kelly. The incident will cast a dark shadow over the second half of the season.

Late during the first half of The Walking Dead season 10 there was a moment involving Magna which showed why no one should trust her. Her actions during the first half were slick and methodical and took advantage of having the full trust of the Hilltop community. Magna may use that trust as leverage again for the second half of the season and can’t be trusted.

During the episode “What It Always Is”, Magna showed zero remorse after taking supplies from Hilltop, proving that she will do whatever she wants even if it means hurting fellow members. The group was fragmented by Magna’s actions since Connie and Daryl knew. Magna didn’t seem to regret any of it, even when people got hurt. She showed that she is capable of anything and would not apologize for it.

Magna could have been thinking about new ways to steal supplies discreetly to achieve her goals, whatever they are. The way she functions is highly problematic since she has a chameleon-like personality that makes it easy for her to cause harm without anyone noticing. It’s hard to understand because we don’t know what she’s after, other than having a desire to be prepared in case things don’t work out.

Magna has been known to push the boundaries and take things as far as she can. The fact she has zero fear and is unapologetic for the things she has done makes her more dangerous. She will likely strike again at a time when Hilltop is most vulnerable.

It won’t matter if it’s an attack from Alpha or from walkers, Magna could be waiting for her chance to gain whatever it is that she wants if she feels Hilltop is overwhelmed by an immediate threat.

The next time Magna feels like doing something, it could be the final straw. She has been given chance after chance and it seems like upsetting the people around her doesn’t matter to her the least bit. It seems like Magna has only gotten worse over time and they will have to decide what to do with her next.

There’s a lot of work that needs to be done as the communities prepare for battle with the Whisperers. When The Walking Dead returns on February 23, fans will see if Magna can get along or become a distraction during the quest to survive the Whisperers.
