The Walking Dead: Ranking the best couples
By Joe LaBrosse
Honorable Mentions
Daryl and Carol
I know, I know, Carylers. While I’m sure that this pairing would rank high up on the list if their relationship turned from platonic to romantic, they aren’t an official couple at this point, so it would feel wrong to put them on the list. That being said, the two share a bond that is like no other on the show – the things they’ve been through together and the amount they care about each other is unmatched by any other duo. Who knows what the future holds for these two?
Daryl and Connie
A surprising pairing based on their limited interaction prior to the search for Henry, Daryl and Connie instantly hit it off in a way I’m sure few fans were expecting. What really stands out about their dynamic is that Daryl actively tries to do things to either impress or help Connie. He has been learning ASL in order to better communicate with her, and when Connie was stressed out about her sister Kelly’s disappearance, Daryl was the one to comfort her with a comedic story about his brother. While we left off with the two among the group trapped in a cave with seemingly thousands of walkers, I’m excited to see what the future holds for the pair.
Rosita and Siddiq
This may seem like a weird choice given that we really only saw them interact in a romantic sense in Siddiq’s final episode, but the relationship between the two had more chemistry in that one episode than Rosita and Gabriel have had in all of seasons 9 and 10. I wish we got to see more of them together raising their daughter, Coco, but unfortunately, we will never know what could have been.
