2) Rick and Michonne

The Walking Dead’s ultimate power couple went through so much together, and I think I speak for the whole fandom when I say that I sincerely hope that the two reunite in the future.

When Rick and Michonne finally gave in to their desires and made their relationship official, it was a uniting of two people who had been through so much together. Whether it was war with the Governor, surviving on the road alongside Carl, escaping Terminus, or trying to adapt to life in Alexandria, Rick and Michonne were always constants in each other’s lives. They looked to each other for guidance, and neither was afraid to push back against the other if necessary. This dynamic of mutual respect made their relationship that much stronger.

Another key reason as to why this relationship works so well is that Michonne almost immediately became an accepted member of the Grimes family. Rick’s son Carl had already developed a camaraderie with Michonne, so he welcomed her in as his stepmom with open arms. Now getting to see Michonne’s special bond with Rick’s daughter, Judith, it’s clear that Michonne belongs in the Grimes family.

With a plan for movies revolving around the story of Rick Grimes set to release at some point in the next few years and Danai Gurira’s Michonne leaving the show after season 10, hopes are high that the two will meet again, this time on the big screen. It would be a real shame to leave the love story of such an incredible couple as incomplete as it feels now.
