Alden

Alden has been a very useful addition to the Hilltop, both while Maggie was there and long after she left. The former Savior made his case to be part of the community and he is proof that people can change and that some people are deserving of a second chance.

Things were looking up for Alden until Enid was killed, and now he’s experiencing grief over her loss. The Whisperers are to blame, and he is ready to get revenge.

Revenge is a tricky thing in the apocalypse. When your actions are guided by anger, you tend to overlook things happening around you. In Alden’s case, he has to be particularly careful because Hilltop is vulnerable right now. Jesus and Tara are gone, and Yumiko is there to pick up the pieces but everyone is on edge after the tree fell and broke the fence. He is someone that everyone respects, so he is trying to be helpful even though he has been dealing with so much.

With so many things happening all at once, and with Alden stepping up to help lead the Hilltop in its hour of need, it puts him in the crosshairs. We would like to think Alden will be around to see Maggie’s return, but he will need to be very, very careful.
