The Walking Dead returns for the second half of season 10 with “Squeeze”. Here’s your synopsis and preview of episode 1009.

After a long hiatus, The Walking Dead returns on February 23 to reveal the fate of the survivors who found themselves trapped in Alpha’s cave at the end of the season 10 mid-season finale. Now in “Squeeze” the survivors fight to make it out of the cave alive as the Whisperer War approaches.

Once again the survivors find themselves in peril after they ended up in one of Alpha’s caves. Daryl, Carol, Connie, Aaron, Jerry, Kelly and Magna are stuck in a very dark cave that is full of thousands of walkers.

The problem, of course, is that no one knows where they are so it will be up to them to find a way out.

From AMC’s press release:

"Episode 1009: Squeeze“In the mid-season premiere, our group must figure out how to get out of a precarious situation.”Written by: David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrickDirected by: Michael Satrazemis"

Satrazemis has been a part of TWD family since the very beginning. He’s currently serving as an executive producer on Fear the Walking Dead but he frequently returns to the mothership to direct key episodes like season 9’s mid-season finale, “Evolution”, which was also written by Johnson-McGoldrick. Johnson-McGoldrick serves as a writer and consulting producer on The Walking Dead and has penned several key episodes such as  “Chokepoint”, “The Bridge” and “Worth”.

Thinking back to “Evolution”, the team of Satrazemis and Johnson-McGoldrick can be credited for bringing the horror back to The Walking Dead with that episode, which featured a terrifying fight scene in the middle of a dark and foggy night. (It was also the episode where fans said goodbye to Jesus)

As a friendly reminder, AMC Premiere subscribers can access episodes of The Walking Dead on Fridays (yay!) so that means that there will be lots of people talking about the show before the official Sunday night premiere of the show.
