Jeffrey Dean Morgan stars in a new serial killer drama The Postcard Killings, an adaptation of a James Patterson and Liza Marklund  bestselling novel.

The Postcard Killings is a serial killer drama in which Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) plays New York detective Jacob Kanon whose daughter and son-in-law are murdered while in London on their honeymoon. The film is an adaptation of a #1 New York Times bestselling thriller with the same title by James Patterson and Liza Marklund.

Kanon sets out for London to find out who murdered his daughter. He enlists the help of a Scandinavian journalist, played by Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife), when he realizes that this wasn’t an isolated incident. Other couples across Europe have been brutally murdered and all of the murders are preceded by a postcard sent to a journalist in the town where the next murder will occur.

In addition to Morgan and Jumbo this film stars Famke Janssen (How to Get Away with Murder), Joachim Krol (The Wall), Steven Mackintosh (Wanderlust) and Dennis O’Hare (American Horror Story).

RLJE Films released the official trailer and this is a movie you won’t want to miss:

The trailer shows a lot of drama as well as suspense. We also learn from the trailer that the murderer is mimicking art in his killing spree. We can hear Janssen, who plays Morgan’s wife, tell him to find out who mutilated their daughter. This looks like a great movie for fans of Morgan. He looks tough and ready for action.

Morgan has been on The Walking Dead for 4 seasons playing Negan, former leader of the saviors, who has currently joined forces with a new threat, the Whisperers. He also has been busy filming Walkaway Joe and Shrine.

The Postcard Killings is set to release in select theaters on March 13th.
