The 5 best things from season 10 episode 9 of The Walking Dead
By Adam Carlson
1. A sense of tension throughout
There have been times episodes of The Walking Dead just felt like they were dragging on or that what was happening didn’t feel very important to the larger story being told. This episode didn’t really have any of that.
Not only did every single segment of the midseason premiere feel important but alternating between the edge-of-your-seat tension and the goings-on at the Whisperer camp kept both situations feeling fresh while setting the stage for future episodes.
The tension in the caves was the easiest to feel. There were many times that characters had close calls with rocks or walkers and the dark setting forced viewers to focus on what was happening and hope our favorites made it out alive.
On the other hand, the Whisperer camp sets the stage for a potential betrayal by Gamma. Not only that, but building the relationship between Alpha and Negan opens up a lot more to happen within this group of villains, especially with Beta away.
This was one of the better episodes of the show lately and it should be one that fans remember as being excellent as the show goes on.
