5. Stuck in darkness

Our characters throughout 10 seasons have been put in a variety of tough situations, but this cave-dwelling fun managed to be one of the top anxiety-inducing episodes yet which I found to be interesting. As viewers, we couldn’t make out a huge amount of details, but likely the characters could not as well.

This causes a lot of issues, you cannot see if walkers or whisperers are coming at you, or whether or not you are going in the right direction. Claustrophobia is also something brought to the table. Kelly even spent this episode with a leg injury of some kind on top of the obstacles faced already being in a cave.

When I was a younger child my family took a vacation and we visited some caves and underground caverns. While very beautiful, I recall quite a few people needing to be removed from the tour because it wasn’t something they could handle even with a well-lit path and friends around them. To imagine where I went as a child, with nearly no light and the threat of walkers? Forget about that, major WTF!

Exploring this in The Walking Dead was very cool as it’s something new that we haven’t seen, but very much cool…from a distance. I included this even though it wasn’t a single moment because I did find it incredibly unique that our characters were in a situation like this. The Walking Dead as a universe has such a huge range that we have even explored caves now!

Now going into the top 4 we are going to explore more singular events or interactions in the episode, so let’s move on to number 4!
