3. Carol’s actions

I know that many fans would likely place this at number 1 or 2, as the actions she took had such a saddening outcome. However, I normally reserve my top 2 spots as something unexpected, or evil. Her actions were neither of those. Reckless yes, but most definitely very predictable.

From the moment my eyes fell on the dynamite I know she would be using in some way even though it was very unstable. I nearly jumped out of my seat even when Kelly picked it up, I knew dynamite that old could explode at any time. Though I could have never guessed what would come of the blast, I knew it was not going to be good.

Carol’s actions here go further than just hatching a plan with the dynamite. She truly hurt Daryl. This season we have seen a few characters sass Carol or blow up on her, but Daryl is the one person who always has her back so to see her totally disregard their friendship at times is sad. Daryl is not a person to show emotion or talk things out so too see him try so hard and be shut down by someone he trusts is very different.

At this point everyone is actively trying to solve the whisperer problem, so she can’t say nobody cares. Like I have said in previous lists, while I think every fan understands her rage over Henry it just simply does not give her the right to choose for everyone or to put others in a situation that could get them killed. Nobody has that right.

I believe the victims of the actions taken by Carol deserved their own number, so let’s discuss number 2!
