The Walking Dead: Hilarie Burton Morgan reacts to the Alpha and Negan scene

The Walking Dead’s mid-season premiere received a lot of attention for one scene in particular. Hilarie Burton Morgan weighs in.

The Alpha and Negan scene from The Walking Dead’s season 10 mid-season finale has generated some fantastic fan reactions. Some fans were shocked at what transpired, others thought it was no big deal and a lot of people were wondering if there is enough eye bleach in the world to get that scene out of their minds. However, there was one big fan of the scene and she just happens to be Negan’s real-life wife, Hilarie Burton Morgan.

The episode received a rare SVL rating, indicating not only the regular violence and language, but that a sexual situation that was graphic enough to warrant this warning would occur in this episode. Photos the were released ahead of the episode suggested this was a Negan centric scene.

Alpha is very good at reading people. She knows and understands Negan and the fact that he is very crass, so much so that she thought he was deserving of a crass reward. Initially the scene makes us think Negan will be brutally punished or perhaps even killed. Then the tables turn and Negan realizes he isn’t going to die today.

However, he realizes that he is going to get to experience some of the freaky deaky he likes to talk about. This freaky deaky is probably more than he ever thought he would experience. Surprisingly, he was excited about the idea of Alpha leaving that skin mask on.

I am sure Negan’s endgame is to get as close to Alpha as he can to continue with his ultimate plan. Whether that is to take over as leader of the Whisperers or to end Alpha himself it is unclear but, you can’t get much closer than sleeping with the boss.
