The Walking Dead 1010 recap: Beta comes calling
The Walking Dead keeps moving full speed ahead with episode 1010, “Stalker” in which Beta pays a visit to Alexandria. Here’s your recap!
This week’s episode of The Walking Dead begins with Beta walking toward an RV. He goes inside to find members of the Whisperers sitting among flies and other bugs. They get up and reveal a trap door that leads to an underground tunnel.
Beta lights a lamp and goes through the tunnel. But where is he going?
Cue the credits, here we go!
Baby Coco cries in the night and Rosita tells Gabriel that it’s his turn. He doesn’t get up, so she goes to the crib and then goes to get a fresh diaper. While she’s gathering everything she turns to see a Whisperer standing over the crib with a knife. As he moves to stab the baby, she wakes up. It’s morning and it had all been a dream.
Gabriel calls her on the radio. She gets up to answer the call.
Outside the gates, a group of Alexandrians lead Gamma to the gate, where they are met with more guards and Father Gabriel. She looks terrified. Slowly, she pulls off her mask and tosses it to the ground, taking a deep breath. She tells Gabriel that she’s the one who knows Aaron, and he tells her he knows this.
Gamma gives them a rundown of what happened with the others, that they were trapped in a cave and she doesn’t know their fate. Gabriel points out that she’d said before that the horde was in a field, and now it’s in a cave. Gamma admits that Alpha moved it, which only raises Gabriel’s doubt. She says that she’s trying to help, and when Rosita asks why she reveals that the Hilltop baby is her nephew and she wants to see him again. Gabriel asks about the mother, and she has a flashback to the field before admitting that the mother, her sister, is dead.
Gabriel asks if she can lead them to the cave with a map, and she agrees to help them. She walks inside the gates and goes up to Rosita, who decks her and tells the guards to take her to the cell.
Meanwhile, Daryl is in a ditch and he follows a Whisperer who is collecting arrows from dead Whisperers. He watches as they confer outside the mouth of the cave, from which Alpha emerges. She’s leading a group of the dead behind her. He ducks and hides.
