Gamma wakes up in the cell and looks around. Rosita is there and she tells her about the blood on the floor and how it was from the last time they had a Whisperer in there. Rosita reveals that the spy killed Siddiq two days prior. Gamma says she didn’t know about him, which again serves to raise Gabriel’s suspicions. Rosita tells her that there won’t be second chances, and Gabriel chimes in that he’s not a priest for show. He has taken confessions and he knows when people are lying. He thinks she’s holding back.

The story she tells at the gate makes him wonder how much is true. Gamma tells him to ask God if she’s lying, and Gabriel says God wants him to hang her. This rattles Gamma, who admits that she killed her sister to gain favor with Alpha. She says Alpha didn’t even need to ask her to do it. This startles Gabriel and Rosita, who see her tears and realizes that she’s speaking the truth. Gamma asks for a map.

More from Undead Walking

Back in the woods, Alpha leads her group of walkers to a makeshift bridge, where Daryl takes out one of the Whisperers with her so that the walkers turn on him. Alpha manages to cut Daryl’s head so that he can’t see, and with his vision blurred he struggles to fight her off. She stabs his leg but he is able to wound her, too.

Gabriel and the Council ask Gamma questions about the map and Gabriel asks about the weapons Earl sent them. He’s worried that there will be too much area to cover, but Gamma reassures him that the focus will be on the entrance to the cave, not the border. Gabriel orders her to go back to her cell.

Once she’s gone, Gabriel starts to organize two search parties but Rosita is concerned that they don’t know if this is real. Gabriel says she’s not lying, and he thinks people are just scared of the Whisperers and that’s getting in the way of their judgement. He wanted to prove that they’re cowards and that’s why he brought Gamma there. The more pain you present them, the faster they drop the act. Rosita shakes her head, not totally on board with this plan.

Alpha finds herself at a gas station. She starts to go inside.

Daryl is already inside, covered in blood with a knife still in his leg. He grabs a crowbar to defend himself, but Alpha is wounded, too. She sits down and bangs on the wall to attract more walkers.
