Gabriel opens a box full of his important things. He takes out two shotgun shells while Rosita gets dressed in her armor. He mentions that she was off in the meeting, and he suggests that she stay behind. She says she belongs out there fighting, but she says that his plan to torture the Whisperers is just asking for a fight. She tells him that she knows Coco is aware that Siddiq is gone, and she doesn’t want her to lose another parent.

Gamma is alone in her cell when Judith can be heard talking to RJ. Suddenly she asks what Gamma’s name is, and Gamma sits up in wonder. She admits no one has asked her name since she arrived and tells Judith that her name is Mary. Judith asks what she was like before she became a Whisperer. Gamma says she was from Santa Monica, her parents were John and Alice, and she went to school. She stops, shaking her head. She says she doesn’t remember it, and Judith asks what she means. Gamma says Alpha has a way of making them forget the details, but Gamma still remembers echoes of memories. She says that when the world ended she and her sister made bad decisions until they found Alpha.

Judith, being the amazingly insightful kid that she is, tells Gamma that she met the wrong person first, and that if she had met Rick and Michonne first then she would not be in the cell. Judith says that Gamma doesn’t look like a monster.

Rosita finds Judith and tells her that they’re going on lockdown and that she should go inside. Judith says goodbye as Rosita watches. Gamma says goodbye, too.

Alpha keeps pounding and the walkers arrive, walking past her to find Daryl. (One walker stops to look at Alpha but doesn’t attack her) Daryl fights them off, finally pulling the knife out to kill the last one. When he pulls it out, it starts gushing blood. Alpha can hear him struggling.

Laura gets reports from the other outposts about the herd coming their way. They know that the herd is being sent because they have a spy with them. They’re going to have to split up to fight them off and keep them away from the gates. Gabriel comes up with a plan where Rosita will lead gate duty while he leads one group and another group goes out in a different direction.

Rosita admits it’s a better idea because she doesn’t trust herself. She has been having dreams about the Whisperers and she can’t stand the idea of them both dying and leaving Coco with no parents. Gabriel takes off his hat and hands it to her, kissing her and telling her that he will be back.
