Later that night, the dirt starts moving in the Alexandria cemetery. One of the freshly dug graves turns into a scene from a horror movie as Beta emerges from the grave. That’s right, Beta has arrived in Alexandria. His theme music blares as he grabs his knives and gets ready to fight.

Two men get into their gear. One of them brags about how he beat up Lydia with his friends. He thinks the Whisperers are a joke. Suddenly their lights go out.

At another house, Beta makes his move. He kills several people, turning the lights off as he goes. He doesn’t injure their heads, though, because he’s creating his own army. He sits in the middle of the circle of the dead people and waits for them to wake up again.

Gabriel finds Echo Team. They’re all dead and there is no sign of a herd. Gabriel calls Rosita and tells her that they must have been forced to make the call. Suddenly he realizes that most of them are outside the walls, miles away, and that leaves a skeleton crew back home.

Rosita patrols the street when someone yells out that there are walkers inside the fences. Rosita tells people to check out “Morgan Street” (a nod to one of the OGs of the show).

Beta finds the jail cell and goes inside to find Gamma standing in the corner. He unlocks the door as Gamma tells him that Alpha lied about this place. Beta doesn’t care. These aren’t their people and Alpha is in charge. Beta tells her that she was dead when she first came to them. He orders her to come toward him, telling her that Alpha has promised a painless death if she doesn’t fight. Gamma shakes her head, saying that she wants her in pain and that Beta is lying for her and doing Alpha’s dirty work. Gamma tells him she is not afraid of him, and that’s when Laura steps in with an axe to his neck. She tells Gamma to get help, but when Gamma runs outside Beta attacks Laura and brutally kills her.

Judith calls for Gamma to come inside. Beta, sensing that there was nowhere for her to go, comes after them. He bursts through Michonne’s door and starts searching the house, looking at RJ’s bed. He knows they are inside. He comes to a closed door and moves to open it. Suddenly there is a gunshot and he falls against the wall.

The door opens and Judith has the gun aimed at him. Gamma tells Judith and RJ to run, but Beta grabs Gamma as she’s moving past him. Rosita arrives and stops him from hurting Gamma. They fight, and he cuts her arm badly.

Suddenly Gamma yells for him to stop. She has a knife to her neck, telling him that Alpha wants her alive and that he needs to walk toward her now.

In the woods, Beta tells Gamma that she will die and walk with her sister once again. Soon they are ambushed by Gabriel’s team, and they manage to shoot Beta as he runs away. They point their guns at Gamma, who tried to tell them that she drew him out and she’s telling the truth. After a long pause, Gabriel takes his gun off of her.
