WORST: A torturous holy man

Seeing Father Gabriel advocate extreme levels of torture in order to get information from the Whisperers is a side of the man of the cloth which is very unbecoming. It’s understandable why he’s furious and it matches what he did to Dante.

However, pulling teeth and cutting off fingers to try to get Alpha’s people to turn or give information is quite inhumane. While I’m not advocating Fear the Walking Dead levels of trying to help people, there has to be a happy medium between a quick death and excruciating torture.

Seeing Gabriel go to this extremely dark place is quite concerning. Wanting the Whisperers gone is one thing, but capturing her brainwashed followers and using them as tools by cutting and manipulating their bodies to gather information just seems sadistic.

After his talk with Rosita, he had a change of heart when presented with an opportunity to kill Gamma when it looked like she was escaping with Beta. A more level-headed version of the holy father is needed if Alexandria wants to continue living as they are.
