BEST: Lydia makes a tough decision

After being away for a while, it’s nice to see Lydia make her return. Exiling herself from every community in order to give herself time to think had to be a tough decision for the character to make, but it appears as though her head is on straight.

Having to choose between her mom and Daryl had to be tough. Not every decision has to follow the “blood is thicker than water” rule, but even if Lydia were to have gone back with her mother they would never have been a real family.

Not only did Lydia help Daryl out of the situation but tried to send a message to Alpha that her way of life may work for her, but not everybody has to live that way. While it’s a nice idea, that’s not how the leader of the Whisperers sees things.

She didn’t officially say she would be coming back to live in Alexandria, but every sign points to her doing so. She would be a strong addition to a community that already has some amazing young survivors looking to secure the future.
