The Walking Dead brought the show to the new level with the 10th episode of season 10. Out of all the intense fights and terrifying moments in the episode, one person rose above the rest!

The Walking Dead season 10, episode 10 brought an incredible wow factor into the show, leaving fans across social media in a frenzy. Viewers were on the edge of their seats and they couldn’t look away for even one second in fear of missing heart-pounding action. From Alpha and Daryl fighting to Beta stalking Alexandria like a horror movie killer, this episode put even more life into an already active fandom.

In this episode, there was not a single character focus and strong points were shown off through nearly everyone who graced the screen. That made this episode special as it was shown what a true family these people have become. While the MVP might be a newer addition to the show and brand new to the survivor’s side it was very clear their bravery and self-sacrifice earned them the MVP crown.

This week’s MVP is Mary!

There is no doubt that Gamma, now Mary, put her life on the line betraying the Whisperers. That would be horrifying to do. Viewers have witnessed just how brutal Alpha, Beta, and all the Whisperers can be. Any move taken against them can result in torture or death. With Mary making the biggest betrayal the whisperers have ever seen to the group, there will be no limits to what she would endure if she was captured and brought back.

Facing a fate maybe worse than death, Mary still shows up at Alexandria to warn the group of what is to come, not knowing if she would be welcomed or killed. Even though in the end Father Gabriel believed her, Alexandria was still infiltrated by Beta causing Mary even more trouble. During all the commotion she could have ran far away saving herself, but she didn’t.

Mary stood strong, helped to keep Judith and RJ stay safe and she also saved Rosita. There is no doubt that Beta would have killed Rosita if Mary had not stepped in. This is not something viewers should take lightly. Even though Rosita did not treat her well, Mary saw value in her.

Mary sacrificed her sister, leaving her nephew without a biological mother, and this is not something up for debate. However, she did save Coco from losing both parents within 3 days and that means a lot as to who she wants to be in the future. This act was also not just her saving a main character, it was her giving up her own life knowing what she was going back to.

Honorable mentions go to Rosita and Beta without hesitation. If Rosita had gotten the upper hand in the fight with Beta and taken him down, the crown would be hers. Even while going through paranoia herself, she defended Alexandria with everything she had, showing she is a force to be reckoned with.

If Beta had been able to be successful in retrieving Mary, he would be a contender for the crown as well. He infiltrated Alexandria with ease, stalked and killed residents like in a slasher film, and just kept fans on the edge of their seat.

With Mary heading to Hilltop, there is now a chance of her seeing her nephew again. Her future is something to look forward to as it is open and full of possibilities. Her life has been her searching for a way, and now perhaps she can be happy. The MVP crown will shine brightly in her presence representing hope and the goodness that can be in everyone!
