2. Is Negan too far gone?
Up until this point since Negan has escaped, much of the fanbase has thought he is not really on the Whisperer side. Perhaps much like the comic he was just trying to get close to Alpha to kill her. However this week he might have gone too far to have the viewers ever trust him again, even if he does kill Alpha.
In this episode, Negan tried to get Alpha to make Kingtop join them instead of killing them, which gave a glimmer of hope that he didn’t want to go through with what she had planned. When it came down to the wire though and she told him she would kill everyone he seemed to genuinely adore her for it, then he joined them in battle. He even caused the roadblock which is why the children can now not avoid battle.
If he has been planning to kill Alpha the entire time, clearly before the battle would have been the best time to shake them up. Negan seems to care for Judith, and while he may not realize she is there with RJ, he can’t possibly rationalize this in any way to make killing anyone or ruining their home okay.
This is also so high on the list because Negan’s actions can have so many different outcomes in the show and the fandom. Some viewers will no longer even accept the thought that he may join our side one day. Characters that learn what he did may also not accept it either. This can create much more divide in the future than anyone will want.
