2) Harness the power of nature.

There was a lovely bit of foreshadowing in Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead: Eugene rigging together a couple dozen car batteries. It was the first clue to what might have been one of the coolest things we saw in this episode: An electric fence.

Finally.

I have been waiting for somebody (Anybody!) to make one of these in either Walking Dead show for such a long time. It was great to see the show finally do it.

Now, the nature of how Eugene made it is slightly ambiguous (There was some steel cable, and some rebar, stuck into a piece of telephone pole while wired to the aforementioned car batteries) I don’t think such a defense would we be that difficult to put together if you really needed to in a zombie apocalypse, what with all the car batteries and other sources of electricity available to you, along with all the wire that will now be lying around, unused.

If you can get a hold of these things, they could prove an invaluable defense against the dead, who’ll be too stupid to avoid it, as well as the living, who may not expect it.

It would obviously require practice to rig up correctly, and some good safety precautions to set up, but, once achieved, you would have a powerful weapon on your hands, one that might just turn the tide in your favor, and maybe, even make your enemy think twice about messing with you.
