Creation Entertainment knows how to host a successful convention and now they are bringing fans Creation of the Dead: Salute to The Walking Dead.

Creation of the Dead: Salute to The Walking Dead is a new event hosted by Creation Entertainment. This event will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center near Chicago, June 6-7 2020. Not only will this event feature The Walking Dead but also the spin-off series Fear The Walking Dead as well as The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

Tickets will be on sale soon for this event until then you can sign up for their newsletters to keep up to date on any of the fandoms they host events for.

Creation Entertainment hosts a variety of conventions. They hold events centering around Supernatural, Stranger Things, Lucifer, General Hospital, Vampire Diaries, Stargate, Star Trek, Xena, and now they are adding The Walking Dead to their list.

They posted a save the date announcement on their Twitter page announcing their first four guests. Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes), Cassady McClincy (Lydia), and Katelyn Nacon (Enid) will start the list of guests from The Walking Dead universe.

And like any con, they will have many other events in addition to the celebrity autographs and photo ops. There will be a cosplay contest in which the audience will judge who the winners are. Ninety fans will be chosen for 3 rounds of a trivia contest to see who will be TWD trivia champion. Of course, there will be vendors but Creation of the Dead’s vendors will be solely focused on Walking Dead Universe related merchandise. This allows for a more personal fandom focused vendor room.

When tickets do become available they will offer many packages, Gold, Silver, Copper as well as general and single-day admissions. Another unique offering is the auctioning off of several special VIP and meet and greet experiences. Fans will be bid on the exclusive VIP access passes with a chance to meet all the celebrities at this event. An article from Nerds and Beyond explains the auction, gives you tips on the auction process and gives an account of the experience.

This event looks very promising and for those who live in the midwest, it provides an amazing chance to attend a TWD-themed convention event closer to home.
