The Walking Dead’s Kenric Green and Sonequa Martin-Green announced on Instagram that they are expecting their second child.

The Walking Dead actors, Kenric Green (Scott) and Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) along with their adorable son shared a very fun photo on Instagram announcing that they are expecting an addition to the “Green Team”. All three are sporting huge smiles and they used “little lady” and hashtags announcing that the child will be a girl.

The Greens met at the McCarter Theater in Princeton, New Jersey while working on a play called Fetch Clay, Make Men, then in 2010 they were married and in 2015 Martin-Green gave birth to their first child, a son.

Both actors play characters on The Walking Dead, Martin-Green’s character Sasha bravely allowed herself to become a walker to save her friends’ lives, was killed off in season 7. She has been quite busy since she left. She is filming the Star Trek: Discovery series, a drama film entitled The Outside Story that she stars alongside Brian Tyree Henry (If Beale Street Could Talk) as well as starring in Space Jam 2 as LeBron James’ wife.

Green, whose character Scott, that we first met in season 6 at Alexandria, is still alive and contributing to life at Alexandria. He also keeps busy with many other roles in TV series including one episode of Star Trek: Discovery.

Martin-Greene was pregnant for their son in 2015 while she was filming The Walking Dead. They used layered clothing and even used larger weapons to keep the pregnancy concealed during filming.

Since April 2016, Martin-Green has been an ambassador for Stand Up to Cancer an organization that uses 100% of its funds for research. Her mother is a three-time breast cancer survivor and one of her sisters also has breast cancer.

The announcement of a baby is met with so much joy. We want to say congrats to the Green Team on the anticipation of their newest member.
