5. Beta was a famous singer

Viewers have been speculating about Beta’s former life since long before he even made his television appearance. His reveal in the comics was such a huge moment, it captivated the audience long after it happened. Also when speaking on the apocalypse in general, many people ask about celebrities. Would they survive? How long would they last, and what would they be like?

During a moment we will talk about a bit later on this list Beta has part of his mask ripped off! Revealing a portion of Beta’s face and identity. Then a bombshell is dropped, Beta looks just like Ryan Hurst! All jokes aside, a lone Whisperer does recognize Beta. He mentions that his voice sounded familiar, leaving us with the conclusion that Beta was someone famous and likely a famous singer.

This has been a theory in The Walking Dead community ever since eagle-eyed viewers noticed a familiar face in Fear The Walking Dead on an album cover. Even with his identity more or less confirmed it’s still so hard to grasp the fact he was famous at any point in time. From a person selling out concerts to a person who looks down upon others for even speaking, he has changed a lot.

Like most famous singers, he likely had a fan base and people who looked up to him. Now he is reduced to one of the most villainous people to even come across our group in The Walking Dead. This leads to many more questions than answers, was he always this way deep inside? What was his tipping point? More importantly, do we currently look up to anyone like this in media? Scary thoughts indeed!
